Cambria Corporation in Palo Alto
If there is a better place than the Silicon Valley for a software / design company to be based we don’t know of one. It would be nice to say we planned it this way but, in fact, Palo Alto is simply where Dick Crewdson, Nancy Crewdson and John Geibel lived when they started the company in 1984.
For years Cambria was located at our properties at 636, 640 and 646 Waverley Street in Palo Alto. Now that much of our work is done by our staff in Asia we have moved to smaller quarters in nearby Mountain View.

Early on Dick led an effort to create a point of sale product while Nancy built a custom programming business based on dBase and later FoxPro. The product was eventually sold to a New York company and our focus on custom programming became complete. With the addition over the years of staff with a variety of talents Cambria now is expert in all mainstream programming tools.
In the 1980s we accepted any kind of job that people would pay us to do and we found ourselves offering tech support services along with programming. Today under Geof Bagget we provide tech support to companies and homes all over the San Francisco Bay Area.
In the 1990s our programmers began to create websites for our clients. As the web became more sophisticated we discovered that our clients wanted more artistic talent than our programmers could offer. As luck would have it, just when we were realizing this, Catherine Jones a talented artist knocked on our front door in 1997, and the next thing we knew we found ourselves with our first professional web designer. As of today our staff of web designers has created more than a thousand websites, some of which you can see in the examples here.
